3. Missing Peppa
Found
Ann Smith writes:
A
very big thank you to all our friends in Birlingham and Eckington, who helped
after Peppa went missing within five minutes while out with Roger by her side.
So many family, friends and neighbours spent hours looking for her up until
11.00pm on Thursday, 19th October. She has six puppies, just two weeks old,
which left us up all night feeding them. Fortunately a kind, dog-loving
policeman came on Friday morning and after 17 hours found her in a galvanised
tank filled with green slimy water, which was up to her neck. It was just
amazing how she survived that long.
So Roger and Ann Smith would like to
thank every one who took part in the
search!

4. Bus Timetable
Thanks
We have received the following
message from residents in Eckington:
“I would like to say a big thank you
to those that put the new bus timetables on your website, as the telephone
operators seem to have no idea and were telling us ‘Eckington OAP pair’ there
are only two buses a day. Well, after a lot of phone calls we came to the font
of knowledge. The extra info for connecting journeys is also very helpful. Thank
you again.”
