Here are some reminders of this month’s events:
- Saturday 12th: Christmas
Fayre in Birlingham Village Hall, 11.00am – 3.00pm. It’s not too late to make
a contribution of raffle or tombola prizes, books, CDs and DVDs, Christmas
decorations and any other seasonal paraphernalia; or if you can offer help on
the day, please

- Sunday 13th: Holy Communion in St James’s Church, 10.30am
(conducted by Rev. Claire Lording, not Ven. Chris Liley as previously
stated).
- Sunday 20th: Village Carol Service in St James’s Church, 6.00pm, followed by mulled wine
and mince pies in Birlingham Village Hall. If you would like to take part in
the choir, instrumental group or handbell ringing please contact Wimpy

- Thursday 24th: Christingle and Blessing of the Crib,
4.00pm.
- Friday 25th: Christmas Day

Opening times at the Swan Inn over the Christmas period are as
follows:
- Tuesday 22nd – Thursday 24th: 11.30am – 3.00pm, 6.00 – 11.00pm
- Friday 25th: 12.00 – 2.00pm
- Saturday 26th – Wednesday 30th: Closed
- Thursday 31st: 11.30am – 3.00pm, 6.00 – 1.00am
- Friday 1st January: 12.00 – 7.00pm
- Saturday 2nd: 11.30am – 3.00pm, 6.00 – 11.00pm
- Sunday 3rd: 12.00 – 7.00pm

If you would
like to make a donation of tinned, tetra pak or dry food, to the Pershore Food
Bank, please drop it in to Angela Fitch at 3 King William IV Close – just leave
it in the porch if Angela is out. All donations will be delivered to the Food
Bank at St Andrew’s on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, fresh, chilled and frozen
foods can’t be taken, as the Food Bank lacks storage facilities for these, but
all other contributions are very gratefully received.

Dates for bin collections in Birlingham over the
Christmas period are as follows:
- Thursday 31st December: green bins
(plus up to two extra clear recycling sacks) & brown bins
- Thursday 7th January: black bins (plus up
to two extra refuse sacks)
Clear recycling sacks are available from the Birlingham phone box or from
Pershore Civic Centre.

Council:
- 4 Church Street: Two storey extension to side of property (Case No. 15/02882). Awaiting
decision by Wychavon District Council. (Consultation period ends on 1st
