1. Birlingham Village Website

Birlingham Parish Council's new village website is now available in draft form at www.birlingham.org. The website contains a range of information about Birlingham and the Parish Council, including details of village organisations, forthcoming events, local businesses, minutes of council meetings, planning applications, local maps and photos.

We are still in the early stages of building the website and it will be launched officially next month. We plan to add more information over the coming months. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see included please contact us at info@birlingham.org.

2. Annual Parish Meeting, 16th May

The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Wednesday 16th May in Birlingham Village Hall at 7.00pm. This meeting will be followed, at 7.30pm, by the regular bi-monthly Parish Council meeting.

This is your opportunity to have your say on village matters, so please come along and make your views known.

3. Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, 2nd-4th June

It's now just four weeks to the Jubilee weekend and everyone has been working hard to put together a weekend of events for the village. The programme for the weekend is now being distributed. To help with the planning, you will also receive a form to complete; please return this to Birlingham Village Hall as soon as possible but by 21st May at the latest.

Full details of the weekend are also available on-line at www.birlingham.org/jubilee and these pages will be regularly updated as more information becomes available.

If you live outside the village and do not receive the printed programme, there is a version on the website with a form you can use to tell us if you will be joining us.

4. Village Day Out to Barry Island, 8th July

Following last year's successful outing to Weston Super Mare, this year's day out is now being planned and it will be Barry Island that plays host to the village. Full details will be available soon but put Sunday 8th July in your diaries now!
